Scanning Worksheets to Open with Read&Write for Google:
At Scanner:
- Home
- Nuance
- Login (employee #, 2x)
- Email to me
- Choose “searchable PDF”
- *optional - “subject” and then name the doc and hit OK
- Hit Start
- Log Out
At Computer:
- Open the email
- 1-click on the scanned attachment
- “Open with” choose Read&Write for Google Chrome
- Use “click to speak” to have read aloud, or “T” (typewriter annotations) to type into the document.
- Simply close doc (x) when finished. (no saving or renaming, etc)
To reopen the document:
- Open Drive
- Choose “recent”
- Double click on the doc to open, OR right click on the doc to share or rename (renaming makes it easier to locate in future)
- Once doc is open it will appear blank (where you’ve typed in it). Don’t worry! Choose “open with” and “Read&Write for Google” and it will open with your annotations in tact.
*No need to ever save the document…. It will automatically save, including any updated annotations.
