EASIEST way to access a Bookshare book...

There are 2 super simple ways:

1. Use the Read2Go or VoiceDream Reader app on an iPod/Pad.

2. Make sure the student has a linked Individual Account. Then they can log into Bookshare themselves and simply click on the "read now" button to have the book read directly from the web.

There are still several different ways to go through the downloading process, but the above two ways are BY FAR the simplest.

Help Your Members Read

Bookshare® books can be read on a wide variety of reading tools.

The fastest and easiest way to read is with Bookshare Web Reader. We encourage you to sign up members for Individual Memberships so they can use this free tool from Bookshare.

For other reading tools, follow these steps to download and read for members:

1. Log in to your Bookshare account. 
2. Search for a title. 
3. Select “Download.”
4. Check the box to the left of the student's name for download.
5. Select “DAISY Text Only” for your first download.
6. Select the box on the bottom of the page that says “Download.”
7. Select “Download” again.
8. Select “Available” under “Status.”
9. Open and read the book with a compatible reading tool.
