Ever feel like the meanest teacher ever, prying the iPad out of your students' hands? You can now set a timer for the iPad to shut off after a certain amount of time.
Here's how:
Open 'Clock' (built into iPad)
Hit 'Timer'
Hit 'Radar' (or whatever your default ringtone is... located at bottom of circle)
Scroll all the way to bottom and click 'Stop Playing'
Hit 'Set' and choose how many minutes you want before iPad shuts off
Hit 'Start'
The iPad will return to the home screen after the chosen time is up. Whatever app you are working in/playing on will disappear!
This is also a great visual timer for students who benefit from seeing the countdown of time.
